The changes to the Private Life Route came into effect on the 20th of June, 2022 and have now begun to apply to all Private Life visa applications. Whilst the Appendix Private Life preserves the option to apply for limited leave to remain as well as settlement under the route, it makes **one very important change: **the addition of a category that now allows **dependent **children born in the UK to apply for leave to remain or settlement on the basis of a parent who was already on the Private Life Route.
