Brand new Fintech visa announced

London is one of the world’s largest Fintech capitals and home to some of the biggest international firms such as Revolut, Monzo, OakNorth, and Cazoo. The UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak has announced a brand new Fintech visa, which will be made available under the current Global Talent visa route later this year. The Fintech visa will be introduced for highly skilled workers who wish to join fast-growing companies in the financial technology sector and cyber firms in the UK. The UK Government hopes this move will help boost the Fintech sector and more importantly help the economy flourish. Whilst the exact requirements have not been published it is believed that there will be no sponsorship or pre-endorsement required as long as candidates have a valid job offer from a Home Office recognised organisation within the realms of Fintech.

What is the new Fintech visa?

The new Fintech visa will be introduced for highly skilled workers from all around the world who wish to join rapidly growing companies in the UK. The Global Talent visa application comprises of two stages. Stage one consists of obtaining an endorsement from a Home Office approved endorsing body and the second stage is the actual visa application to the Home Office. Where Applicants are running out of time or working towards a tight deadline it is possible to submit both applications simultaneously.
